Our story

Grupa started in 2025, built by Hyunbin Park after one too many group plans died somewhere between a chat thread, a calendar invite, and a payment app.

The purpose is simple: make people’s lives happier by getting them grouped — without the effort, the coordination overhead, or the wasted time. Making plans with the people you care about shouldn’t feel like project management.

What we believe

We believe your social life shouldn’t require a content strategy. Real connection happens in small groups, in private moments, in the quiet back-and-forth between people who actually know each other.

Grupa is built around that truth. We don’t have a public feed. We don’t have followers. We don’t sell ads. We don’t let an algorithm decide what you see or who you’re close to. Your groups stay private, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we don’t sell it or hand it to advertisers. (We’re not end-to-end encrypted — our privacy policy explains exactly what that means.)

The team

Grupa is an independent project, started and built by Hyunbin Park in 2025. It’s small on purpose — every decision goes through the same question: does this actually save someone time and bring them closer to their people?

The conviction behind it is that the next era of social technology will be smaller, more intentional, and more human.
