Terms of Service
Effective 16 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Hyunbin Park (“Grupa”, “we”, “us”) covering the Grupa mobile app and this website. By creating an account or using Grupa, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
Who can use Grupa
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 if you are in the EEA or the UK. If you use Grupa on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
Your account
Keep your account details accurate and your device secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hproject7303@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
One person, one account. Do not share an account, and do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge.
Acceptable use
Grupa is a small, shared workspace. Do not use it to:
- Post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or sexually exploitative — particularly anything involving minors.
- Post someone else’s personal information without their permission, or upload data you have no right to share.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or use Grupa to distribute malware.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organisation.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data from the service, or access it through anything other than our official app.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Probe, scan, overload, or interfere with our systems or anyone else’s use of them.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post — your tasks, your messages, your files. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display your content, strictly for the purpose of operating Grupa and showing that content to the people you shared it with. This licence exists so we can run the service; it ends when the content is removed, subject to the section below.
You are responsible for your content. You confirm you have the rights to post it and that it does not break these terms or any law.
We do not routinely review content, but we may remove anything that violates these terms or that we are legally required to remove.
Content shared with a group does not fully leave when you do
Grupa is collaborative, so content you contribute becomes part of a shared record that other members rely on. If you leave a group or delete your account:
- Tasks and groups you created remain for the other members, attributed to a deleted user.
- Messages you sent remain in the conversation, with your name removed, so that threads other members are still reading stay intact.
Your personal profile is erased. The shared content is not. This is explained in full, field by field, in our Privacy Policy — please read that section before you post anything you would want removed later. If you need specific content erased, contact us and we will do it.
Availability and changes
Grupa is currently provided free of charge. We may add paid features later; if we do, we will tell you before anything you use starts costing money.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can. We do not promise any particular uptime, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Grupa at any time and delete your account from within the app, under Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
Third-party services
Grupa uses Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple, and is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, not ours. We are not responsible for them.
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store: this agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Grupa, and Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Disclaimers
Grupa is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Grupa is a coordination tool, not a system of record. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of your use of Grupa.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Grupa is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities. Where that is the case, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you post or from your breach of these terms or of any law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Grupa after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the courts of Ontario, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and courts available to you where you live.
